Charlie Daniels Band to Perform at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel In Bossier City!

(Bossier City, LA) October 1, 2014- DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is proud to present American musician, singer and song writer Charlie Daniels. He will perform in concert at Legends Theatre on Saturday, October 18 at 8pm.

Charlie Daniels is a North Carolina native, country and southern rock singer who is known for wearing his signature cowboy hat and belt buckle. He is recognized for his songs “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye,” “Long Haired Country Boy” and “The South’s Gonna Do it.” However, the song that he is best known for is his Grammy platinum single “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” This song topped both country and pop charts, and can be heard on the soundtrack of the movie Urban Cowboy, which he also made a cameo in.

Throughout his career, Charlie Daniels has made a name for himself. He has twice been voted the Academy of Country Music’s Touring Band of the Year. He has been honored with six BMI Country Awards. He was inducted into the North Carolina Hall of Fame in 1999; and then in the Musician Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. In 2008, Charlie Daniels’ dream became reality when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Old Opry in January 2008.

They will perform in concert at Legends Theatre on Saturday, September 27 at 8pm. The 5 member 80s rock band based out of San Francisco is best known for their singles “Sister Christian,” “When You Close Your Eyes,” “Rock In America,” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.” Now days you will hear many of their songs in a variety of movies such as Oscar nominated “Boogie Nights” and “Friday the 13th”. You can also hear their music on TV shows like “Glee” and “Greys Anatomy” and on popular video games like Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto. New Sous Chef Bringing Fresh Feel to DiamondJacks

DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is excited to announce our new Sous Chef Michael Pacheco. He is bringing excitement and new ideas to DiamondJacks’ signature restaurant DJ’s Seafood & Steaks.

Sous Chef Michael Pacheco, an El Paso, TX native has traveled around the United States working and learning in a variety of restaurants, from New York smokehouses to Asian eateries. He has learned different cultures and traditions of cooking, and has fused it together to bring a style to the South that is all his own. Living through his own battle with throat cancer at the age of 35, Michael possesses an energetic, daring feel in his cooking that you can taste. He strives to make your meal bring back a feeling, but with a twist of a style that’s as original as he is. He is known for his melting pot of creations in the kitchen, and in the words of Sous Chef Michael himself “food is people, food is memories.” You can find him cooking away in the kitchen at DJ’s Seafood & Steaks every Thursday through Sunday.

DJ’s Seafood & Steaks offers a variety of thick juicy steaks, succulent pork chops, and savory seafood to fill anybody’s craving. With an open kitchen setup you will be fascinated by the sounds, mouthwatering smells, and sights of the chefs hard at work. The Commodores Perform at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel In Bossier City!

(Bossier City, LA) July 22, 2014- DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is proud to present American funk and soul band The Commodores. They will perform in concert at Legends Theatre on Saturday, August 2 at 8pm.

The Grammy award winning group has been a fan favorite since the early 70's. They are most recognized for their biggest hits including "Easy," "Brick House" and their #1 single "Three Times a Lady." They won a Grammy in 1985 for Best Vocal and R& B performance by a duo group for their title track "Nightshift," which was a tribute to the late Marvin Gaye, Jackie Wilson and later the great Michael Jackson. Many of The Commodores songs are featured at sporting events as well as on popular movies like Boogie Nights and Looking for Mr. Goodbar.

LONESTAR TO PERFORM AT DIAMONDJACKS CASINO & HOTEL IN BOSSIER CITY!

DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is proud to present American country music group Lonestar; performing live in concert at Legends Theatre on Saturday, June 28 at 8pm.

Lonestar is a four person band that formed out of Nashville, TN. Richie McDonald is the lead vocalist and pianist. Michael Brit, lead guitar and backup vocals, Keech Rainwater is on drums, and Dean Sams plays keyboard, acoustic guitar and backup vocals. This year marks their 20th anniversary as a band; with this they are releasing a brand new self-produced album and anniversary tour. Lonestar has a variety of #1 hits including “Walking in Memphis” “My Front Porch Looking in” and “I’m Already There.” The band received the Academy Country Music Award for Best Vocal Group in 1996. They also received ACM Single of The Year and CMA Vocal Group of the Year for their #1 hit and popular wedding song “Amazed” in 1999. “Amazed” stayed at #1 on the charts for 8 weeks.  It was #1 on Hot Country Songs charts as well as the the Billboard Hot 100. They were the first country group to accomplish this since 1983.

GET WET AT DIAMONDJACKS CASINO & HOTEL STARTING MAY 16

(Bossier City) May 6, 2014

DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel will kick off a series of poolside parties beginning May 16 with Wet The Pool Party. The parties will be held in the beautiful pool area of DiamondJacks Casino & Hotel from 7-10PM. Subsequent parties are planned for May 30, June 13 and June 27.

Ladies are invited to come early and enjoy free drinks from 7 until 8PM. Plus, a $500 Bikini Contest will showcase gorgeous ladies in their best pool attire at each party. Participants can sign up for the contest on nights of Wet. Winners will receive a share of $500 plus other prizes from Bittersweet Flowers & Gifts, Fit Nation, Planet Beach, Phoenix underground, Fine Line Tattoo and the Sand Bar.

Local radio DJ, Stifler from K94.5 will be the special guest host at the parties. On May 16, live entertainment will be provided by local cover band Bushrod Jenkins. Shreveport’s own Black Water Bride will rock out the crowd on May 30. In June, the parties get even hotter with Houston party band Big Richard on June 13 and Austin’s favorite 80s cover band Safety Patrol on June 27.
