DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel Vicksburg Executive VP and General Manager, Dr. Felicia Gavin named as one of 50 Leading Businesswomen for 2015.

(VICKSBURG, MS) August 1, 2015 – The Mississippi Business Journal announced their 50 Leading Businesswomen for 2015 which included Felicia Gavin, Executive Vice President and General Manager of DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel, Vicksburg.

Gavin is a native of Bastrop, Louisiana and received her Doctorate of Philosophy from Jackson State University. She received her Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi College and her B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University. Gavin, along with her husband and daughter, currently resides in Clinton, MS.

Gavin began her gaming career at Harrah's Casino- Vicksburg in 1993 as a Senior Accountant. While at Harrahs, she was promoted into several financial positions including the Director of Finance. She left Harrah's to join Governor Ronnie Musgrove's administration as Director of Administration and Finance. Gavin joined The Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel in Vicksburg in 2004 as the Senior Director of Finance. Gavin was promoted to Regional V.P. of Finance of DiamondJacks when Legends Gaming of Mississippi, LLC purchased the Isle of Capri Casino properties in both Vicksburg and Bossier City. Later, she was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager/Regional VP of Finance where she oversees day to day operation of the casino and hotel and leads a team of over 300 employees.

Gavin is an active member of the community. One of her passions is the United Way of West Central Mississippi where she has served as a volunteer and Chairman of the Board and numerous other roles for many years. Gavin currently sits on the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Board, Pigs in Flight Board of Directors, and the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors. She also currently serves as Assistant Financial Secretary for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Beta Delta Omega Chapter. Gavin is a graduate of Leadership Jackson, class of 1998-99.
