Charlie Daniels Band to Perform at DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel In Bossier City!

(Bossier City, LA) October 1, 2014- DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel is proud to present American musician, singer and song writer Charlie Daniels. He will perform in concert at Legends Theatre on Saturday, October 18 at 8pm.

Charlie Daniels is a North Carolina native, country and southern rock singer who is known for wearing his signature cowboy hat and belt buckle. He is recognized for his songs “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye,” “Long Haired Country Boy” and “The South’s Gonna Do it.” However, the song that he is best known for is his Grammy platinum single “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” This song topped both country and pop charts, and can be heard on the soundtrack of the movie Urban Cowboy, which he also made a cameo in.

Throughout his career, Charlie Daniels has made a name for himself. He has twice been voted the Academy of Country Music’s Touring Band of the Year. He has been honored with six BMI Country Awards. He was inducted into the North Carolina Hall of Fame in 1999; and then in the Musician Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. In 2008, Charlie Daniels’ dream became reality when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Old Opry in January 2008.
